eea.facetednavigation and Products.ATVocabularyManager

Dear all,

I am trying to setup a Plone site with eea.facetednavigation and
Products.ATVocabularyManager.

The plone site items have hundreds of different tags, so a tags widget in a
faceted search folder would be too verbose. So my idea is to create a small
vocabulary with the relevant terms for the search (all of which would be
tags), and use it to populate a checkbox widget to search the Tags index.

So I go to the plone setup area, Vocabulary Manager, and create a Simple
Vocabulary, adding the selected tags to it as vocabulary terms.

It works fine for tags what have no spaces, but I can't use the vocabulary
to search for tags with spaces: apparently, the shortname for the
vocabulary is used as argument for the catalog query, instead of the Title.
And since shortnames can't have spaces (even though Tags can), those tags
are impossible to search this way?

Is there a way to circumvent this behavior? Note: I'd prefer a solution
that priorizes through-the-web configuration, instead of programming
solutions, for the user who would be managing this may have no programming
skills.
