urllib2.HTTPError: HTTP Error 403 while running bootstrap on EC2

I’m trying to bootstrap one of my buildouts from a python that I installed via the UnifiedInstaller and getting an error about: urllib2.HTTPError: HTTP Error 403: Forbidden

I had the same results when using a system python under virtualenv.

It’s a Plone 4.3.4 buildout on an AWS EC2 instance.
