Good to know. Out of interest, how scalable do you think Plone
& dexterity.membrane

are from your experience?

At what stage would you consider wiring in SQL for members? 10,000
users or 100,000?

Cheers,

Daniel

Membrane is still out in the wild and it works. We recently launched a
site with dexterity members successfully using (and pimping)
dexterity.membrane. That said, users are then normal content. So the
listings are the same as with normal content (folder_listings, collections).

Hi

I am trying to get someone to move to Plone.

For that, I need a «Members listing» on the Plone site

• There will be about 1000 «members»
• Each member should be able to a) register and b) add most of their information ( name, email, website etc)
• Admins should be able to edit a few other fields (like if they have paid the members fees etc

What is the best way to achive this ?

Espen

(PS: I did try to install collective.workspace and Faculty/Staff Directory but they seem to break Plone 4.3 so I wanted to ask before putting work into this)
