I will try to do that…

That said: the setting should also be in the control panel
The control panel stuff should mostly be in the plone.app.seach product.
(now, there would have to be changes in two different products for «one thing» (feels wrong to me)

PS: I favour a «pluggable» control panel, where the settings etc are in the product, ( nathan: like collective.plonetruegallery)
