Re: Dexterity DataGridField Default Factory

Solved my problem (and i feel like such and idiot now!)

The problem was in the model xml and where i placed the default factory:


            <field name="events" type="zope.schema.List"
form:widget="collective.z3cform.datagridfield.DataGridFieldFactory">
                 <title>Events</title>
                 <description/>
                 <value_type 
type="collective.z3cform.datagridfield.DictRow">
                     <title>Events</title>
<schema>myswimmingclub.content.swimming_meet_event.ISwimmingMeetEvent</schema>
                     <! -- This is the wrong place 
defaultFactory>myswimmingclub.content.defaults.DefaultStrokesFactory</defaultFactory 
--->
                 </value_type>
<defaultFactory>myswimmingclub.content.defaults.DefaultStrokesFactory</defaultFactory><!-- 
this works -->

             </field>

Apologies for wasting everyones time, hopefully somebody else comes 
across the same problem and at *maybe* learn from my mistake!!
