Yes, this seems to be the cause. The _hashlib.so links to libssl.so and libcrypto.so with version 0.9.8, but now version 1.0.0 is installed for both of them. How can I fix this? Can I somehow rebuild Python’s shared library files like _hashlib.so? > In this case, I would modernize the Python installation > used by your Plone. In the list archive (searchable e.g. > via "gmane") you will find advice how to do that. Is it really necessary to get a newer Python? I would suppose that the old Python can also link to a newer OpenSSL. I do not like to manipulate the Python installation that is part of the Plone installation. I have no idea what the implications would be, for example, regarding security support.
