Good point, but that in turn *perfectly* illustrates the problem with 
today's Plone. "Back in the day" you might get a new Products.CMFPlone 
tarball and drop it in your Zope products folder and off you go. We are 
very far from that now, and probably not even in agreement on whether 
that is "good" or "bad" :-)

One thing I don't want to do is brush-away criticisms about announcing & 
promoting releases with a "no installers, sorry" response. There are 
plenty of things we can do to promote Plone the moment a new package 
hits PyPI e.g. point folks to a URL that says "installers are a 
volunteer effort, have a Python package for your buildout in the meantime."
