This is a known, and real problem in IE with Zope-based sessions. Of
course one can quit the browser, but that's inconvenient. The
workaround is to, when the login dialog appears, enter a bad password
or username. Then you will really be logged out. How clunky....

This works from the SMI also, via the logout link in the lower right
hand corner of every screen.
