buildout stops without building

Hello all

I'm puzzled again with buildout.

I've tried to set up a new silva installation on my test server doing the
usual 'paster create ...', 'python bootstrap.py', './bin/buildout -v' steps.
However, this time the process stops after printing the following:

Installing 'zc.buildout', 'setuptools'.
We have the best distribution that satisfies 'zc.buildout'.
Picked: zc.buildout = 1.4.0
We have the best distribution that satisfies 'setuptools'.
Picked: setuptools = 0.6c9
===
There's nothing installed or built at all.

Did I miss something?
Or is the buildout infrastructure doing something strange today?
