The -all.tgz doesn't > contain ExtFile at all, mind. Er, um, right, it does not. It seems mostly the ExtFile product seems to cause version problems from time to time, while all the other add-on products usually don't move. So its maybe not worht to think about a general solution. Maybe a note in the UPGRADE.txt that one should check the dependency of the "other" products would be nice. Maybe just near the step: """ - Remove the previous versions of the products (see PRODUCTS.txt for a list) from your Zope's Products directory. """ (actually this may be a bit misleading, as one could conclude from that point that _all_ products listed in the PRODUCTS.txt should be removed.) If no-one disagrees, I would try to fix that this evening. About installations from the CVS: normally nobody checks the UPGRADE.txt when performing an "cvs update", I guess. Thus in theory it would be nice if a message to silva-dev is send in case a product dependency changed for the code in the current CVS. Well, in practive I may have missed such an announcement about the ExtFile version change ... I cannot remember if there has been send something or not. Cheers, Clemens
