Collecting formatted texts (e.g. minimalistic HTML)

Dear Silva developpers,

I am seeking a system to collect abstracts for a conference. It should 
be able to accept symbol font, super/sub-scripts and bold and italics. 
Possibly even font size changes.

The format could be simplified html.

Does anyone has experience in gathering texts from many partners through 
a web interface and automaticaly convert the input into a format that 
can be converted into MS-word or RTF? Silva may be a perfect intermediate..
