windows installer

I'm hope I'm posting to the right list and not being repetitive.  I'm
looking to try out Silva by using the current Windows installer (1.1)
and then upgrading to 1.2 I guess.  But I'm experiencing the same
issues as here (I did search the archive ahead of time):

Was there ever a fix or workaround for this?  The installer quits out
after a Python error.
