Yes, that would be helpful indeed. As I understand there might actually be a 
slightly more general solution on the way. If I understand right, all buttons 
that would make you leave the Kupu editor page without a save, would present you 
a little warning like "You didn't save and likely will loose work. Do you want 
to save now?".

I guess upcomming versions of Silva/Kupu will incorporate this.
