Hi!

I received some bug reports concerning Silva running on Zope versions
below 2.7.3 (broken tab_access and tab_status), and discovered a bug in
the code to rename Silva items in Zope 2.7.4.

- In Zope versions below 2.7.3 the access and status tabs break, when
viewing the templates in the ZMI ('Customize' tab) an Assertion Error is
displayed (without any additional information). It is not yet known what
exactly causes this, and doesn't seem to happen on e.g. all Zope 2.7.2
setups, but there's definitely a Zope version related problem there. I
would therefore recommend not to use any version of Zope older than 2.7.3.

- In Zope version 2.7.4, something changed in the way files get named,
breaking Silva. When a file is copied, Zope will prefix its id with
'copy_of_'. When that file is copied again, Zope 2.7.4 displays other
behaviour than older versions, and Silva has not been made aware of that
changed behaviour. I would therefore not recommend any version of Zope
older than 2.7.3.

In other words: currently Silva 1.2 seems to run stably only on Zope
2.7.3. If you're running it on any other Zope version, beware of the
above issues: if you run into one, our advice would most probably to
fetch 2.7.3 and copy your data to that.

We are hoping to solve the Zope 2.7.4 naming problem in a Silva 1.2
bugfix release. We recommend staying on Zope 2.7.3 until this fix.
If you are on a version of Zope below 2.7.3, we recommend an upgrade
to this version. If you require Silva to work with older versions of
Zope, please contact us and we'll see what we can work out; for now
supporting them is not a high priority with us.

Cheers,

Guido
