A comment to the paragraph below was recently added via http://zope.org/Documentation/Books/ZopeBook/2_6Edition/AppendixB.stx#3-296

      If the relative argument is provided with a true value, then
      the URL returned is relative to the site object. Note, if
      virtual hosts are being used, then the path returned is a
      logical, rather than a physical path.

         What's the type of the 'absolute url' object returned?  Is it a string, or what?

         Ummm - the text doesn't say an 'absolute url' object is returned, it says an absolute url to the object is
         returned...Hence, the returned value would be a string.
