No, I think you are on the right track. However I cannot confirm your 
issues. Do you have management roles (?), because manage_page_header needs 
it I think.

Mmh, maybe we should attack ZMailman from a different angle and disjoin it 
from the management-type views and provide the ZPT for all methods in the 
root object, so that people can adjust them as they like via Zope.

Again, it will be no problem to give you CVS access, if you want to make 
changes and develop on ZMailman.
