There's a PR to fix attempts:

This bug had actually been reported in July,
https://github.com/zopefoundation/transaction/issues/19, with a fix I
reused in my fix, which dealt with some tests differently.

There's a branch for that:

But it builds on and so is blocked by the PR above.
