Thanks, that’s fine for my purposes. Instead of using zc.recipe.deployment I’m simply using collective.recipe.template to create a pre-fab zeo.conf and collective.recipe.cmd to create all necessary directories during buildout.

I just needed something to quickly overcome the non-working start/stop script issue. I’m not wedded to using plone.recipe.zeoserver, it’s just what almost everyone is using so far.
