It is pretty important for community planning for ZC to give a pronouncement about their strategy about this. Do ZC see Zope 3 as an essential new element in their business strategy? Is the success of the Zope 3 brand important per se? Is an EOL date for Z2 possible yet? If, say, ZC anticipate moving all their clients to Z3EE (;-) within a year of release, I personally think the community should move to replace many of ZC's current Z2 activities within that timeframe. Would ZC be happy to give up control of some of these activities? If the community produced a Z2 fork, would there be any issues with the Zope brand, or linking to it from zope.org? Or would ZC be happy to allow a community BDFL and continue hosting the CVS and the brand? Difficult questions, I think. seb
