I had somehow forgotten that I've been doing that for years, e.g. mapping
AltGr to Linefeed, swapping CapsLock and Control swapping Esc and Grave,
since I use Esc far more often (as with Capslock and Control).

[If I recall correctly Sun got all these things right on their keyboards in
the early 1980s, then Microsoft screwed everything up with the weight of
IBM behind them.]

Anyhow, I used xev to find the codes of the PrtSc and Pause keys and now I
have set them up in .xinitrc as PageUp (Prior)  and PageDown (Next), which
saves a lot of fiddling with the Fn key on a small keyboard.
