I was deliberating whether I would use f.delete or f.deleteordestroy.
The former only works if the application supports the WM_DELETE_WINDOW
protocol; if it doesn't, the whole application is killed (as mentioned
elsewhere in this thread). The documentation as given does contemplate
that the window manager uses XKillClient. But it seems a bit drastic and
unexpected that if you want to close just one window of some
multi-window program, that you run the risk to kill the whole
program.

But if people insist, it can be changed easily :-)
