I presume (and a quick glance over firefox source suggests, along with
suggesting a few stiff drinks) that it's doing this via the Motif
hints, so you could also use MWMIgnore {} to issue a blanket "shut up,
I'm the window manager, I'll decorate what I want to decorate, and you
can go suck it" to those sorta client requests.

Or maybe just silently ignore them, I guess.  But I like to think of
ctwm quietly slapping uppity programs around in the background on my
behalf...
