Some people prefer Alt+Tab to work like a ring buffer, as is
traditional in CTWM. Others prefer it to act like a stack, as in
Openbox, KDE, LXDE, LXQt, Xfce, and Windows 9x. Rhialto created such a
feature (configurable, non-default), but I never tested it because I'd
already moved back to Openbox due to Alt+Tab behavior. I think for the
sake of keyboard-centric users, CTWM must have an option for Alt+Tab to
behave like a stack, and for long time CTWM users there must be an
option to make it behave like a ring buffer.

I think it was everybody's consensus that the traditional CTWM behavior
should be the default. Please try very hard to find a way to implement
a stack-like behavior for Alt+Tab in your new Wayland compositor.
