I've seen this sometimes on intel. e is literally rendering but the xserver
just refuses to display what is rendered.

the other alternative is vblank events stop happening - there is a fallback but
perhaps that broke? these come from the drm device directly.

but realistically nothing being rendered is more likely one of the above
issues. until you dig deep into e/efl and figure out if the render calls are
happening and what they are doing you won't know for sure.

fyi on my desktop i'm on arch linux and a amd 6800xt gpu and i blank all the
time and don;'t see these issues. i have occasionally seen them on my xps13
(intel 8th gen cpu+gpu). but "it doesn't render" doesn't tell me much at all. :)

what is "moving the gadget onto the screen" ? pagers sit in my shelf all day
and keep working... i set them up once... ?

missing udisks or something? something to do with udisks and polkit policies -
the mounting is a request to udisks to do it... ?

hmm newish gpu. i have lately seen a few issues with amdgpu - some go away on
upgrades, some return.
