Re: slow fluxbox

Another datapoint.

I would love to have fluxbox start in under a second, but...

I just got svn revision 4071, and it consistently takes 3 seconds between 
when I call fluxbox and .fluxbox/startup gets called by fluxbox, whether I 
start it from kdm or startx.
AMD Athlon(tm) XP 1800+, 512MB, nVidia Corporation NV28 [GeForce4 Ti 4200 
AGP 8x] (rev a1)

BTW, with the talk about Enlightenment, I tried it out and it's pretty fast 
on startup and has nice features.
I had problems with background refreshing, though. Plus, Enlightenment's 
objective is not lightweight and fast.
