Thank you, Sami! I moved the line "xmodmap ~/.Xmodmap &" from ~/.xsession to ~/.fluxbox/startup just before exec /usr/X11R6/bin/fluxbox Now everything is working fine. The way with the acme tool I mentioned in my previous mail did work also, but was not flexible enough, as with acme one can not use modfiers (Alt, Ctrl, Meta etc.) for hotkeys, which I do a lot.
