transparent menus

Hi folks, Trying to get nice transparent menus and toolbar. fluxbox -i and xdpyinfo | grep render both show RENDER, I'm running Xorg 6.9 and fluxbox 0.9.14. Using Esetroot for wallpaper, so I "won't have any problems" however alpha settings just aren't working. Any suggestions?
