Hi Pete,
I made exactly the same style-directory structure, but always no
wallpaper :)
I compiled my version of Fluxbox, is it ok for you ? :
Fluxbox 0.9.15.1 : (c) 2001-2006 Henrik Kinnunen
Compiled: Apr 18 2006 10:27:04
Compiler: GCC
Compiler version: 4.0.2 20050808 (prerelease) (Ubuntu 4.0.1-4ubuntu9)
Defaults:
menu: /usr/local/share/fluxbox/menu
style: /usr/local/share/fluxbox/styles/Clean
keys: /usr/local/share/fluxbox/keys
init: /usr/local/share/fluxbox/init
Compiled options (- => disabled):
-DEBUG
SLIT
TOOLBAR
XPM
-IMLIB2
GNOME
KDE
EWMH
REMEMBER
SHAPE
XFT
XMB
-XINERAMA
RENDER
I resolve myself to use the obsolete method for the moment.... this
works correctly :
session.screen0.rootCommand: Esetroot
-f /home/kawada/.fluxbox/backgrounds/rea_on_earth_2005-1280-1024.jpg

Then put the background into the ~/sexy-grey/pixmaps subdirectory. This will show up in the user themes section of the FB config menu. Then use this in the theme.cfg file:
