Alphas and tray-icon backgrounds

Folks, I've noticed that when I have my taskbar and iconbar alphas set to 0, the icons in the notification area have different backgrounds -- either the taskbar's alpha-255 decoration or plain gray, depending on the application. What causes this difference? Is there a way to get the icons to show up on a transparent background at alpha=0? Or at least a consistent background color for all the tray icons? I'm using fluxbox 1rc on Ubuntu 6.06... I'd be happy to ship a screenshot if that would help... Best, Pete -- Peter N.
