background utility question

Is this list actually up and running?  At least one of my posts never
made it, and I'm hardly seeing any posts at all.

I'm using 1.0rc2 via the Ubuntu deb, on an nvidia twinview system.
Overall I'm loving it.   But the one thing I can't figure out how to do
well is come up with a way of changing my root window backgrounds,
periodically (like every few minutes) to different pictures for each
head - not the same image for each head, and not one image stretched
across each head.

wmsetbg allows me to set one image in EACH head, instead of stretching
across BOTH heads, and that's nice, but that's the closest I've come.
A little shell script rotates through a directory of images but
again, it's the same image in each root window.  I guess I'm trying to
find some twinview-aware utility to change the root window. KDE has a
kslideshow.kss screensaver that works pretty well, at least in KDE, and
can be made to work in fluxbox, but I'd rather use another utility that
doesn't force me to use kslideshow.kss --setup to tell it what images I
want to display.  And XFCE does the twinview root window thing pretty
well too. But I can't find anything specifically for fluxbox, or
generically for any window manager out there.

Can someone point me to some twinview-aware apps perhaps?

Or, even, tell me a little bit about how to tell an application to do
something in one head versus the other?  I've mapped a key to move apps
from one head to another using the new sethead command ... and that's
neat ... but I think only fluxbox recognizes that command, right?

Also, am I reading correctly that the setroot command in styles is now
completely ignored, no matter what?  I cannot make it work, and I've
googled a bit and it seems it may have been a security issue.
