Thanks for the suggestion - but unfortunately, with a twinview setup,
like with xinerama, there is only one double-wide display, so the :0.1
and :0.0 bits don't work.  

I may just for fun try the dual-desktop system this weekend - but if I
remember correctly, in that configuration, they're not both
accelerated... or am I wrong?  I'll have to look into it anyway.  But I
have become very fond of moving easily between two screens as one large
desktop so it would be tough to change.
