I'm sure it is exactly the reason, since I just tried to run mine (it 
happens to be on my machine even though I never use it) and it works 
just fine. I do not have Alt+F11  and Alt+F12 bound to anything in fluxbox.

I'm running FC7 x86_64 and FC8 i386 on x86_64 hardware, should this matter.
