Low battery notification

Hi,
I'm wondering which kind of battery low notification you are using on 
fluxbox.

I have conky installed that shows me the battery level, so I have to 
monitor the battery level by myself. I would like to have a "warning 
message" like a window that alerts me about the low level of the battery.

Right now, I just realized a bash script + crontab to do that, but I'm 
sure there a smarter way.

Any ideas?
