:ShadeWindow crashes

Hello,

I have a "Mod1 grave :ShadeWindow" shortcut in my ~/.fluxbox/keys file,
and since I am not using a taskbar on a panel, this action has been
quite handy for a long time. Recently I had to do a fresh install of my
Fedora 8, and even though I restored the same environment, now this
action crashes a lot of gui applications for me. For some reason this
bug is picky about the toolkit, it likes to crash gtk+- and
wxwidgets-based programs but qt-software is not affected. Also, such
things as xterm, xfontsel etc (whatever these are based on) survive just
fine through repetitive exposure to :ShadeWindow.

When crashing, it spits the following into console

vlc

Gdk-ERROR **: The program '.' received an X Window System error.
This probably reflects a bug in the program.
The error was 'BadAlloc (insufficient resources for operation)'.
   (Details: serial 13118 error_code 11 request_code 53 minor_code 0)
   (Note to programmers: normally, X errors are reported asynchronously;
that is, you will receive the error a while after causing it.
To debug your program, run it with the --sync command line
option to change this behavior. You can then get a meaningful
backtrace from your debugger if you break on the gdk_x_error()
function.)
aborting...
Aborted

miro

other program leave similar message after themselves.

I am not really sure that this is fluxbox's bug, and not gtk+'s, so tell
me what to do in order to make sure, so I can forward this information
to proper people.

I'm running F9 x86_64 and F8 i386 on x86_64 hardware, should this matter.

/The nice thing about standards is that there are so many to choose from./
