correctly.

user1: fluxbox manages windows: the place and the size. it does not
manage the windows content .. aka the (colored) pixels that make fill
the rectangle called "the window". there are _a_ _lot_ of approaches
to transfer data from "the programm" to the "grafic card". eg,

    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/VDPAU
    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Direct_Rendering_Infrastructure

some of these approaches just transfer "data" to the grafic card (by
bypassing the xserver at all) and then the grafic card creates the
(colored) pixels, directly on the grafic card. if you use program xyz
to retrieve pixels from the xserver then you can only retrieve pixels
which are available at the xserver level. use a pixel-generating
method that creates pixels at the xserver when you want to use a tool
to retrieve pixels from the pixels.

nothing of the above has to do with fluxbox.
