Controlling the spacing between items in the toolbar

I'm currently trying to "recreate" the Blackbox Gray theme in Fluxbox. 
However, I can't find a way to adjust the spacing between elements in 
the toolbar; for instance, is it possible to add a margin to the left of 
the workspace label? By default there is no space at all (see attached 
image).
