That also was my first concern. But yes, I double checked that.

I also took this one out, but see no change.
The same is true after additionally applying the patch

   0001-try-no-grabs-in-function-execution.patch

that you supplied in an earlier posting.

I checked it for both, Player and Workstation, with equal result.

Maybe you can post a patch of your experimental version of sources against
the officially released ones in

   https://github.com/fvwmorg/fvwm/releases/download/2.6.7/fvwm-2.6.7.tar.gz

so we have assuredly identical copies? What do you think?
