I would very much appreciate if the sizeMaximized option could stay. It is now marked as deprecated.

Is there anything wrong with it that needs fixing? I am willing to help fix/cleanup/rewrite whatever is needed to keep the option.

More than 3 years later, this deprecation is still there, and luckily it is
still possible to resize maximized windows.
I agree that removing the deprecation and its associated warning would be
fine.
