Initial Comment:
This patch fixes bug #3364116 and also related issues with cursor positioning and selections with the mouse in the input field. The patch is against Debian's 1.3.7-pre2 source. Tested in ru_RU.UTF-8 and ru_RU.KOI-8 locales.
