Icewm (v1.2.37-7.fc12.x86_64) taskbar/toolbar clicks makes mouse input unsreponsive ...

Friends:

Recently I upgraded numerous packages on my Fedora12 O/S (basically
performed a simple "yum update" to update things) and, after doing so,
ran in a problem in IceWM. Some background/environment info first:

- IceWM version: 1.2.37 (x86_64 bit version that ships with Fedora Core 12).

- I start my X environment by issuing the following command from run-level-3:

   user$  exec xinit

- The .xinitrc file is pretty small (because I like to keep things lean). Start
  to end, here it is it's contents:
  ===========================
     xsetroot -solid '#456'
     xset m 7 2
     exec icewm || exec xterm -fg red
  ===========================

The problem is this:

  - When the X/Icewm first starts, I can click on any icon
    on my toolbar and it launches the associated program (so far so good).

  - But when I click on any icon on that toolbar a second time -OR- click
    the taskbar (to de-iconify an iconified app), the window manager stops
    responding to mouse events (left or right clicks); however keyboard events
    still work (the window manager still responds to keystrokes).
    And note that the taskbar or toolbar icon that I mouse click to cause this problem,
    stays in the depressed visual state - it never raises back up (as though the
    mouse click event never finished and gets stuck).

  - So how do I get out of this state:
     a> By hitting the start menu (Microsoft) key on my keyboard. When I
        do this, mouse clicks begins to function again. Although all
        keystrokes always work (the keyboard is never an issue here), no other
        keystroke except the start-menu key gets mouse clicks to start
        responding again. Once working again, I can right-click the desktop
        and get a menu, or click the start menu button, and get that same
        menu. But I CANNOT click the toolbar or the taskbar because it will
        cause the same issue again... unresponsive mouse (I have to stay
        away from that - annoying).

     b> By pressing Ctrl+Alt+Delete and keyboard-pressing the "Restart IceWM"
        option button or, oddly enough, by clicking the same option button
        with the mouse -- it's the only place where the mouse works in this
        unresponsive state.


This all worked fine before my "yum upgrade", which included some xorg
packages.

Any ideas on how to troubleshoot this, or what the problem might
be.
