The Gnome and KDE is not the Linux world. Low-fat WM still has it appeal to the users, who manage to run old H/W and who like to have fast S/W on old/new H/W. Icewm + idesk is a long time win-win combination. Even the live cds also use icewm for the speed. It should be kept alive.
