Re: What distros provide a default IceWM environment?

P'raps I'll just add a note of my own, which is tangentially related to
this topic:

I use IceWM because.... well, I'm used to it, and I like its simplicity
and blah blah. And... a huge reason.... I love the theme Blueheart,
which I've been using for years and is just more beautiful and pleasant
than any other set of window/widget decorations I've seen. I've never
found anything quite like it available for any other wm/desktop.

However... I use IceWM as the wm under KDE 3.5.10 (which I can still do
because my OS is Gentoo and I am therefore not at the mercy of the
distro-gods :-P), and the main reason I "need" KDE is because without
it (i.e. with just "bare" IceWM), I cannot get the background of my
Konsole (terminal emulator) window to be transparent.... which I
really, really like.

It's not as though I feel the need to have a desktop... there are
probably no services offered by KDE that I can't live without. It's just
that darn transparency thing that I like so much.  If anyone has a clue
how I can force Konsole (the old 3.5.x version for now) to be
transparent without needing the desktop running underneath it, I'd be
very grateful... because I'd rather be keeping things even simpler by
doing away with KDE (except certain apps like Konsole, which I love).
Actually, I'd be willing to consider upgrading Konsole to the latest
(4.x) version if it solves this problem.... maybe I'll experiment
with that...
