icewm + gimp + workspaces

Computer A) 
   Ubuntu 12.4
   Gimp 2.6
   IceWM 1.3.7

Computer B) 
   Slackware 14.1
   Gimp 2.8
   IceWM 1.3.8

Steps: launch Gimp, do some stuff, change workspaces, change back to
the workspace with Gimp.

I have noticed that on Computer A all of the windows from Gimp stay on
the workspace I've launched Gimp and all stay in the same state (hidden,
visibile, rolled up, rolled down) that I left them before changing
workspaces.

But on Computer B, some of the windows will follow me to the new
workspace (eg the one with all the tool buttons) and when returning to
the original workspace will be in a hidden state.

Is this fixable in IceWM?

(What's happening? Gimp is the only program I've ever seen do this.)
