The reason I mentioned zsh is that it can easily be programmed to
display the current running command as well as the previously executed
command, by the use of the "precmd" and "preexec" features.  It may be
possible with little or no modification to achieve this as well on other
shells, but I was not able to achieve it on bash without modification.
