ion2 cons and ion3 finish date

i've been using ion2 for quite a long time now (2 years i think) and i'm 
really looking forward to the third major release. i know this question 
must be posed really often but: when will ion3 be finished??

furthermore i found some peanuts in ion2 bugging:

- starting an application and waiting with the mouse-pointer for it to 
load into a certain frame.
    i know applications can be designated to certain frames with 
winprops but certain applications just need to be dynamically designated 
at 'run-time'.

- NEVER used the floating workspace... only when i started to use ion by 
playing around with the features... i think floating windows aren't 
necessary and somehow chunky to use. this isn't really annoying, i just 
don't need them.

well... i think that was it.
