running ion3 from home directory

    I would like to know whether it is possible, and also whether it is
    relatively simple, to install ion3 without root access, that is 
    whether it is possible to run it from one home's directory.

    I have installed it at home a couple of days ago and I am extremely
    happy with depending less on a mouse, and with the freedom from the
    complexities of gnome, therefore I would also like to use it at work
    where I have no root access.
