Yes, if the program has been written in a suitable manner. I am not
aware of any such hacks in the Ion makefiles, and `make -j3` works
just fine (on a single CPU, of course). If someone has a real and
not just imagined problem, they should point at where it is instead
of just complaining. I'm not going to waste my breath finding and 
fixing problems that are only relevant on the latest techno-gadgets.
My AthlonXP still has many years of life left in it, assuming 
built-in obsolescence doesn't kick in.
