problem with "attach tagged"

 
I'm using 3rc-20070608 with MacOS and have encountered a problem with
the above mentioned release which was not present before:

tagging windows (either via `MOD1+T' or the "toggle tag" menu entry)
apparently works (the checkbox in the title bar appears), but a
subsequent `attach tagged' command is ignored (from the "attach tagged"
menu entry as well as via `MOD1+K+A').

on the other hand, attaching a window via `MOD1+A' by selecting its
name still works OK.

I observe this behaviour on two different machines.

what is going on here?

can somebody confirm the above described failure of attaching tagged
windows, at least under MacOS?
