ion in separated thread so it can be run from lua interpreter

together with friends i work on very simple window manager which is
run from ipython as separeted thread so in real time we control window
manager object hierarchy... whatever configured in live session is
easily saved into text file (python pickle) for later use.. for us it
is great way of customizing window manager ;)

i wonder is it possible to get that for ion also.. so that you can run
ion session from ion interpreter (ie. ion_main.run()) and then object
hierarchy is exposed to lua interpreter and you can manipulate in live
session with ion objects...

hope i explained that well.. just an idea ;)
