Install that package and that error should go away. I installed ion3 from the official RC on an ubuntu server I use in my notebook (so that I didnt have to deal with gnome from the start) and when compiling it, I found a lot of missing dependencies and errors, however they were not hard to track and fix. I guess if you guys wanna give it a try from the source, if you face errors you can post them here. At least I don't mind helping out with them. Saludos.
